We’ve been running our new system for a couple of weeks now and I’m pleased to say that everything is going very well.
As a website owner, I always feel some anxiety that something, somewhere that we’ve not tested will go horribly wrong. So far we’ve identified some small issues, but nothing that affects our security, and nothing that will have a negative impact on our customers (touch wood).
The main issues we’ve identified are things that you only really find out when you’ve been using the system for a few weeks…and you’ve had enough time to think about how you’d like it to work. They are generally small improvements in the back-end.
Our list of things that we’d like it to improve is far from short – I feel like we’re at the bottom of a giant staircase! We have oodles of new functionality and features that we’d like to implement, and we’re working hard on making new features ready for release.
In the next few weeks we’ll be implementing a new site footer, upgrading the search functionality to give more relevant and useful results and continually tweaking and improving the design. I’ll do my best to blog about these as they go live so that you can keep up to date with them.
