Wales welcomes the Ryder Cup

The 2010 Ryder cup is just 9 days away. For the first time in its 83 year history the tournament will be taking place at the Celtic Manor resort in Wales between the 1st and 3rd October

Held biennially, the event is contested by teams representing Europe and the United States, with the host venue alternating between the two. The Ryder Cup is named after Samuel Ryder, a St Albans seed merchant, who donated the trophy for the first match held in Massachusetts in 1927.

Whether you are Team Europe or Team USA, Macdonald Sporrans are able to kit you out in clothing, accessories and mementos of this great tournament.

To make sure you look the part out on the green, make sure you get your tartan trews. Available in a range of styles and sizes these will complete your golfing look.

Macdonald Sporrans also offers a selection of  tartan rugs. These hard wearing tartan blankets come in a range of Scottish clan tartans and are very versatile. Great for wrapping up and keeping warm in whilst spectating or as a picnic blanket.

We also sell a range of Golf hip flasks for your favourite tipple. Many of these can be engraved to create a lasting memento of this event.

For those hosting your own golfing tournaments in line with the Ryder cup, we can also supply tankards that make a great trophy for your competition.

It’s time to take your sides, get your mementos and enjoy what should hopefully be another tournament of great golf.
