Who are we?

Our Story

We’re a small team who love what we do. Our two stores are built from the heart. We create places we would love to shop. And we try to make the experience a little bit special.

We’re based in Leith, the old sea port of Edinburgh. We’re run by husband and wife team Emma and Fergus.

Eagle & Fox came to life in 2004.

And then there were two

And then there were two

I started Eagle & Fox, in its first incarnation, back in 2004 when I was a student. I didn’t have a grand plan of what kind of company I wanted to run. I was just excited by the idea that I was growing a business. Customer service, fulfilling orders, and growth were top priorities. Product…

Eagle & Fox Care

At the end of the year, we extended our festive giving in a You Give, We Give project where, as a company, we donated £3000 to the Against Malaria Foundation.

You Give, We Give

You Give, We Give

For us, Christmas is the time of year to think of others and this year we did just that. Our brand The Tartan Blanket Co. ran a project called You Give, We Give and we wanted to share the results.

As One Door Closes, Another Door Opens…

We made a pretty bold decision in our 2016 strategy meeting – to remove virtually all our listings from eBay. When we started selling sporrans on eBay in 2004, we were one of the first, if not the first, to do so as a business. Most trade on eBay at the time was personal sales…

New Name, New Direction

New Name, New Direction

Today we changed our company name. We’ve been called Macdonald Sporrans for over 11 years and I would love to tell you that name came from some divine inspiration or marketing strategy, but it really didn’t. My surname is Macdonald and I started off selling sporrans, I think we can say there wasn’t a huge…
